Trainee Floor Layer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install and repair different types of flooring materials, including carpet, vinyl, and LVT
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated area
- Prepare surfaces by removing old flooring, including asbestos, cleaning, and levelling as necessary
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow schematics or blueprints to ensure accurate installation

**Requirements**:

- Motivation to learn as a Floor Layer.
- Strong knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the job
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions. We do not offer unpaid internships.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.13-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
