This role is an alternative to our current job ad for Management accountant (see below) and would be suitable for an experienced or senior management accountant, Financial controller, or SME Head of Finance that wishes and is ready to progress in their career. We will hire the best person out of these two roles who can best fulfil our needs.

**This role also includes daily accounting tasks which are but not limited to**
- bookkeeping
- payroll
- debt collection
- financial analysis
- cash flow
- financial department support
- forecasting and
- finance strategy.
- open to partnering with senior management in adopting and implementing financial strategies to help and support the company growth;
- collaborating closely with other internal stakeholders and external providers, and
- has a keen eye for detail and strong understanding on how to navigate the world of finance.

This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week), working Monday to Friday from our brewery offices in the city centre of Manchester.

**Management Accountant Job Description**

This position is also suitable for an accountant who is partially certified and has the drive and aspiration to contribute to the growth of the finance department. At present, this role encompasses all facets of the department and is well-suited for an individual with the goal of eventually leading a team of assistant accountants. This position provides ample opportunity to shape the department according to their vision.

**The key responsibilities are**:

- Performing financial analysis and commercial support to management and ongoing

projects, providing models to aid in decision making
- Produce monthly management accounts, providing any variance analysis, including any extra internal reporting required, and quarterly submissions to the bank
- Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual results. Working closely with department leads to collate budgets and ensure they are financially sound
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
- Manage and forecast cash flows
- Reporting to external sources of finance
- Completing payroll in coordination with external payroll provider
- Routine day to day accounting tasks (e.g. payment runs, reconciliations, VAT returns, credit control, accounts payable)
- Ownership of full balance sheet
- Ensure safeguarding of the business through high quality controls
- Work with external accountants for year end submissions

**Essential skills are**:

- Previous experience with cash flow management essential
- Strong excel skills
- Part-qualified chartered accountant

**Desirable experience and skills are**:

- Part or fully qualified, preferably CIMA
- Comfortable working alone and self-management of work Strong commercial mindset
- Excellent business partnering skills, working with sales and operations to help drive business growth

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.

**Salary**: From £32,000.00 per year
