Glastonbury based Company are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team of three predominantly dealing with staff wages in a varied and facing role on a full-time permanent basis. The Payroll Assistant will be working on Sagepayroll dealing with the weekly payroll calculations. The ideal Payroll Assistant will have previous experience in a similar role and will be able to multitask to a high degree.
**Payroll Administrator - Position Overview**
- Preparing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a diverse whilst also taking on pension auto enrolment responsibilities
- Create and maintain employees' payroll records
- Process all starters and leavers in line with requirements.
- Calculate wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
- Enter payroll information into central system for processing
- Issues employees' payslips and earnings summaries
- Completes payroll reports
- Completes all reporting to third parties including HMRC, Pension Funds etc
- Respond to staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
**Payroll Administrator - Position Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years' experience of working in a payroll position
- Previous experience in transport payroll - advantageous
- Knowledge of Sage is a must.
- Professional Payroll qualification advantageous
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Effective communicator, approachable and diligent
- Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll
- Capable of Working with Minimal Supervision
**Payroll Administrator - Position Remuneration**
- £25,000 - £28,000 (Dependant on experience)
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
- Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
