Southwark College, part of NCG, is looking for a dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic Job Coach to work with students from our Supported Learning Department.

In this extremely rewarding role, you will work with the Head of Faculty and Lecturers to support students with SEND in workplace settings and facilitate their learning, independence, success, progress, and progression from college into employment.

Your role will be to proactively and professionally support employers to set up, develop and maintain appropriate placements and work opportunities for young people with support needs and help them in making reasonable adaptions.

You will work closely with support and curriculum colleagues, parents/carers, and outside professionals to ensure that students receive the best support possible and achieve the highest outcomes.

You will take responsibility for ensuring that appropriate health and safety, safeguarding and recording and monitoring processes are in carried out and implemented.

The learners you will be working with may have mild, moderate, or more complex learning difficulties or disabilities and will be from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Learners may have autism, communication, sensory, literacy/numeracy, social emotional, physical, or other learning needs.

The role will be based in the Supported Learning Department at Southwark College and will be managed by the Head of Faculty for Supported Learning.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, (40 weeks per year)
