We are delighted to be working with a precision CNC machining facility supplying the aerospace sector, who place emphasis on providing their customers with exceptional customer service and unrivalled quality. This role will be responsible for implementingthe programmes as designed by the CNC programmer to manufacture components to customer specifications and aircraft standards on the CNC Machines.
**Day Shift (39 hours)**
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30
Friday 08:00 to 15:30
**Duties**:
- Setting up and operating a selection of CNC machines, mainly HAAS and DMG with Hedenhain and Fanuc controls with precision parts for the Aviation industry.
- Working to daily WIP lists to meet daily production targets, engaging in multi-machine scenarios.
- Fully conversant reading third angle projection drawings working to the tolerances required.
- Verify the work produce can meet quality and technical standards through 1st off processes and self-inspection.
- Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
- Identify tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
- Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current processes by improving productivity.
- Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilizing root cause and analysis tools.
- Sharing knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.
- Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations.
- Good Housekeeping with some 5S experience essential.
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Comply with H&S Regulations.
- To carry out any other duties that may be necessary to meet departmental objectives.
**Requirements**:
- At least 1 years experience of 3 axis and 5 axis operator and setter experience
- Experience with Heidenhain & Fanuc controls a distinct advantage
- Team Player with the ability to work alone and use own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible approach to working various shift patterns.
- Willingness to be trained across departments, supporting flexible working requirements
