Summary

Location - Poulton Area
LTA / Reed Education are seeking a Level 2 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to provide support to a new pupil in a Yr1 class at a primary school in the Poulton area.

I am currently working with a primary school in Poulton, who require a temporary Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP whilst they await placement in specialist provision. the child will be going into their Year 1 class. The adult needs to have experience and/or training in working with children who have complex learning needs including anxiety around perceived demands. The child's EHCP also specifies that the adult working with them has specialist knowledge around complex learning difficulties. The role does not have a specified period of time attached to it because the child is awaiting specialist placement. We do not know at this stage how long it will take for a place to come available.

Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:

- Monitoring targets for future progress
- Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
- Have a clear understanding of all the needs of the pupil
- Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice
- Excellent behaviour management skills
