**More details**:
Are you a qualified teacher? Are you looking for flexible work with children and young people, teachers and schools? Interested in supporting the test delivery process? Keen to be an ambassador for NFER? Then we’d love you to join our TA pool

NFER’s Test Administrators (TAs) are a group of skilled and experienced professionals who make an essential contribution to the test delivery process. Our TAs go into schools across the UK to administer tests for NFER or our clients.

Test Administration is a great role for Associates who can commit to travelling for school visits over defined testing periods. We provide our TAs with all the training and instructions they need, and we cover pre-agreed travelling expenses.

Our TAs often work on multiple projects over any one year at NFER. We aim to develop lasting relationships with our TAs, developing their skills and experience and offering them repeat work. As an active TA, you could be working with us on a handful of days over 2-to-3-week period, at around 4 to 5 points of the year.

Payment for TA work varies, but you will typically be paid around £150 per administration. The time spent in school can vary from a few hours to a half or full day.

If you are successful in securing a TA role with us, you will join NFER’s pool of Associates. Being an NFER Associate opens up opportunities to get involved in other flexible Assignments with us that align with your skills and experience.

Test Administration work in April 2023.

Role description

Being a TA for the TPTs involves:

- attending and successfully passing a one day in-person training course
- establishing a professional and courteous relationship with relevant school staff
- being an ambassador for NFER and the STA, always acting in a professional and positive manner
- with support of school staff, running the assessment with Year 2 or Year 6 pupils
- ensuring that every aspect of the TPT administration is conducted in accordance with the guidance and scripts we provide
- resolving any queries or problems for schools, with support from NFER
- following all security procedures to ensure the security of materials and data at all times
- being available to receive materials and for returning materials to NFER within the required timescale (via an assigned courier service)
- handling and securely using large and complex packs of secure test materials.

To be a TA for the TPTs you will need to:

- attend face-to-face training in early March (date TBC). We will cover your travel and subsistence for attending training.
- be available to receive a delivery of materials to your home address on the 12th April, 2023
- be available to visit schools on at least 6 days from the 17th - 28th April (inclusive), 2023
- be prepared to travel to schools up to at least 20 miles from your home address (we try to keep allocations as close to you as possible. You can let us know your preference for travel beyond this 20 mile radius if you are successful in securing a TA role on this project)
- have excellent administration, organisation and communication skills
- agree to receive, manage and promptly return confidential material
- be comfortable with electronically signing and exchanging documents
- be confident in following detailed instructions in paper-based manuals
- abide by our code of conduct and other key policies and procedures.

You will also need to:

- have or be willing to secure an enhanced DBS that is valid for the testing period (your DBS must have been issued within the 3 years prior to the 28th April 2023, or be on the update service)
- have QTS
- be legally entitled to work in the UK
- confirm that you are not on the Teacher Services restriction lists nor under investigation by any Government body.

NFER is a not-for-profit organisation and an equal opportunity recruiter. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and workers.

If you’re looking for a place where you can put your heart, soul and skills into making a difference, we want to hear from you.
