This is a permanent position offering hybrid working with approx 2 days per week in the office which is located within walking distance of Cardiff central train station.

Responsible for safeguarding the quality of our data and being the initial point of contact for HR queries and requests, you will be incredibly organised, highly meticulous, with a passion for detail and providing an excellent service.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Providing an effective administration service for the HR function to include administration associated with:
- starters, leavers and changes to terms and conditions of employment

- employment checks

- contracts of employment

- absences, maternity/paternity leave

- probationary periods, career development and promotion processes

- reward and recognition, employee benefits and schemes

- providing employee changes and starter/leaver information to payroll

- reference and general information requests

- filing, scanning, system and documentation maintenance.
- Coordinating the onboarding of new starters. Maintaining and developing the induction programme and materials, delivering the Company induction as needed.
- Coordinating internal feedback processes, follow up actions and completing reporting/analysis, to include recommendations and escalation as applicable.
- Ensuring the HR system (IRIS), HR Intranet site, staff files, organisation charts and reports are accurately maintained.
- Administrator/super user for the HR system providing relevant training and guidance to system users.
- Supporting the development of HR systems, processes, policies, reporting, documentation and user guides.
- Providing accurate statistics and reports, highlighting trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Initial point of contact for all HR queries and requests, providing an excellent support service to colleagues and managers.
- Dealing with first line advisory support, gaining guidance from, and escalating to the HR Manager as required.
- Supporting the HR management team with other tasks and projects as needed.

**Key Competencies**:

- Proven experience working in a fast-paced HR department in a similar role
- Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
- Exceptional attention to detail and passion for excellence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative and IT skills to include Microsoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint/HR systems
- An impressive work ethic, eagerness to learn, and commitment to delivering results
- People orientated with a commitment to providing excellent service
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise a high-volume workload and work to deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing requirements and see opportunities for improvement
- Flexible 'can do’ approach with the ability to work proactively, use own initiative and offer solutions
- Team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone.
- Confidence to communicate with all levels to manage expectations and maintain effective working relationships.
- To be a trusted and professional ambassador for HR and the firm, maintaining confidentiality, and acting with discretion and diplomacy.
