**Role overview**:

- Work as part of the team
- Ensures that the Nursery team are supported effectively
- Assists in the allocated base room ensuring all children’s needs are met
- Carries out any duties as requested by the Room Leader
- Contributes to the effective running of the room
- Working Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm
- To work under the direction of the Manager to provide a caring, safe, and stimulating learning environment for children 0-5 years old
- To be a key worker responsible for the planning and monitoring of children’s progress
- To work in partnership with parents and carers

**Essential Skills/Qualifications**:

- Full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Full understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS
- Awareness of the Ofsted inspection framework
- Experience of working within a team
- Experience of providing customer service
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Experience in managing a cohort of key children
- A good understanding/knowledge of child development.
- A sound understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection.
- The ability to communicate with good English language and written English
