Currently, we are actively seeking a Healthcare Assistant - Vital Monitoring
**Job Title: Healthcare Assistant - Vital Monitoring**

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation levels.
2. Record and document vital signs accurately and promptly in patients' medical records or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
3. Alert the clinical team promptly of any abnormal vital signs or significant changes in patients' health status.
4. Assist with the setup and maintenance of monitoring equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
5. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive appropriate care based on their vital signs and health status.
6. Provide support and reassurance to patients during vital sign assessments, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
7. Follow infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the monitoring area.
8. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing patient care and confidentiality.
9. Participate in training and educational programmes to enhance knowledge and skills related to vital monitoring and patient care.
10. Maintain professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in vital signs monitoring or a similar role.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and understanding of vital signs measurement techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to recognise and report changes in patients' health status.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centred care.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60 per week
