Information Governance Specialist

An exciting opportunity has come up within the Information Governance Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in Information Governance, preferably in the health and social care sector to join the team.

You will be working closely with and supporting the Information Governance Manager in promoting compliance and best practice in all aspects of Information Governance. You will need in-depth knowledge of the relevant information regulation laws, regulations and standards.

**Key areas include**:

- Provide dedicated support to the Information Governance Manager and wider IG team to achieve the requirements of the IG Framework, this will include leading on specific initiatives such as information risk management and compliance areas, reviewing information sharing agreements, liaising with internal and external agencies and suppliers
- Facilitating Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- The role will also provide specialist advice and support to the wider IG & RA team.
- Initiate and develop plans relating to data mapping and any other areas deemed necessary.
- Support the Information Governance Manager with the Data Protection and Security Toolkit.
- Provide reports to the relevant Trust Groups such as the Data & Digital Governance Group.

Support the Information Governance Manager in the delivery of an effective Information Governance service carrying out tasks and maintaining responsibilities in relation to:

- FOI & Data Protection inc SARs
- Project Support & Advice
- Incident Investigation
- Data Flow Mapping and management of RoPA
- Data Protection Impact Assessments
- IAO Advice & Support
- Training & Education provision, compliance and resource development
- Liaison with IT Security & Compliance re queries
- Information Compliance Subject Matter Experts
- DSPT compliance
