About "The Role" **- Laundry Assistant**
- Load articles into washers at regular intervals to ensure steady availability of towels and linens.
- Lubricate equipment to provide light service to machines, and clean or change machine filters when needed; alert manager when machines are in need of professional repair.
- Sort articles before cleaning, separating them by fabric, color, cleaning technique or dirt content for best results.
- Sort and count articles as they are removed from dryers; hang, fold or wrap the articles according to requirements or personal attention to detail.
- Participates in monthly linen inventory.
- Suggests methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
- Work in a fast paced environment with time constraints and timing
- Multitasking with linen in various machines running at the same time with different products
- Work to deadlines related to production standards and requirements.
- To comply with COSHH regulations.
- To ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance in appropriate uniform.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the laundry area and the equipment.
- Any other duties as detailed by the Housekeeping Manager or Venue Manager
