Join Elysium as a Regional Violence Reduction Lead enjoy being a part of meaningful change.Working alongside the Learning & Development team, you will design and deliver training to sites across classrooms and wards. This will see you establish a quality improvement programme and oversee the delivery of Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression(MVA) and breakaway training to maintain safety measures.

As a Regional Violence Reduction Lead, you will have oversight of clinical practices through audits, teaching and meetings, which will see you manage and identify where physical and/or emotional factors may affect the use of physical restraint.

You will support and investigate any complaints arising from the Management of Violence and Aggression courses or tutors and will review data around MVA, including CCTV Audits of restraint and produce monthly reports for the regional

**Other responsibilities:**
- To manage and ensure robust governance of all MVA work streams and practice within the Southern Region
- Join the Senior Management Team of the Southern Region leading and advising on all aspects of MVA.
- To oversee the delivery of the Southern Regions Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (MVA) courses.
- To oversee the administration of training and development of MVA, Breakaway and training needs.
- To Establish a programme of continuous Quality Improvement.
- To ensure the region delivers high quality classroom based training, on-ward coaching and support in all aspects of the Management of Violence and Aggression (MVA).
- Oversight, review and management of clinical practice through audit, advice, problem solving, teaching and supervision.
- Management of regional and local leads to ensure robust management plans where physical and/ or emotional factors may affect the use of physical restraint.
- Lead on the use of root cause understanding followed by de-escalation and ensure that any physical intervention is used as a last resort and promote safety, dignity and patient focused care throughout the undertaking of duties.
- Ensuring that when there is a compliance issue, that it is reported to the relevant person/ department and that action(s) are agreed to ensure that compliance is restored.
- To oversee the overall MVA practice and care delivery.
To work within General Service Association standards to ensure best practice in the recognition, prevention and therapeutic management of aggression and violence.

**To be successful in this role, you'll need**:

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of dealing with challenging behaviour and violence and aggressing within both a secure and open setting
- Evidence of a minimum of 2 years clinical experience working within health and/ or social care and/ or educational setting/ environment where individuals exhibited challenging behaviour.
- Evidence of clinically based credibility and/or qualification by experience or completion of a relevant health/ social care or management certificate (Nursing, NVQ or CQF, Violence Reduction Diploma ).
- Evidence of further Education in an aspect pertaining to MVA (for example Violence Reduction Degree)
