Youth Worker

**POST**:Youth Worker **RESPONSIBLE TO**:Board of Directors

**KEY PURPOSE OF JOB**

Be responsible for the day to day running of our current youth services whilst identifying innovative new opportunities for the service.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Planning and facilitating activities and events
- Identifying and developing new service opportunities
- Work within our existing youth groups
- Produce and develop policies and procedures in conjunction with colleagues and the Board of Directors
- Monitor funding commitments and targets and ensure that they are being achieved
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping
- Work with other partner agencies when appropriate
- Represent Johnstone Castle Learning Centre within the local area
- Be aware of budgets and ensure that all youth activities represent value for money and that expenditure is responsible and appropriate
- Arrange and facilitate regular youth staff meetings
- Plan, programme and deliver activities and projects relevant to the young people's needs
- Work alongside other Youth Workers to maintain a safe space and ensure all policies and procedures are followed

**Please note**:
**1 x 8 hour post is to cover youth services on a Friday evening 5pm - 9pm and either a Tuesday or a Thursday evening from 5pm - 9pm.**

**Rate of Pay £10.00 per hour**

Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
