**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assist with Shop Maintenance**: Aid in keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe. This may include sweeping, mopping, and maintaining equipment and tools.
- **Learn from Experienced Technicians**: Shadow skilled workers to observe and learn techniques, procedures, and best practices relevant to the trade.
- **Support Project Execution**: Assist in the preparation, assembly, and completion of projects according to specifications. This may involve measuring, cutting, drilling, sanding, welding, or other relevant tasks.
- **Handle Tools and Equipment**: Learn to safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in the shop.
- **Follow Safety Procedures**: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- **Receive Training and Feedback**: Participate in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance your skills and knowledge. Accept constructive feedback from mentors to improve performance.
- **Assist Customers**: Interact with customers, providing support and assistance as needed. This may involve answering inquiries, fetching materials, or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- **Adhere to Deadlines**: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and timelines established by supervisors or clients.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**: High school diploma or equivalent. Enrollment in or completion of vocational training programs related to the trade is advantageous but not mandatory.
- **Technical Aptitude**: Basic understanding of mechanical concepts, tools, and equipment commonly used in the trade. Eagerness to learn and develop practical skills.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- **Attention to Detail**: Precision and accuracy in executing tasks to ensure quality workmanship.
- **Team Player**: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors.

**Salary**: £6.40 per hour
