We are looking for: Engineering Planner
To join our team in: Boston
Overview
Reporting to the Engineering manager you will be accountable for all engineering maintenance planning on site, management and upkeep of the company CMMS ensuring that all engineering work is captured and reported through the system on an ongoing basis.
Coach, train and develop team members to achieve high quality maintenance procedures and organisational performance.
**Responsibilities**:
1.Health and Safety- Responsible for own compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Legal and Quality system on site- Responsible for capturing any health and safety requirements for planned maintenance as part of the work order that is issued to the maintenance team- Reporting compliance against work completion regarding health and safety and compliance works on an ongoing basis
2. Management of CMMS- Be the site level SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software, train the local engineering team in it’s use.- Ensure all equipment / assets on site are captured within the company CMMS- Development and upkeep of a robust planned maintenance regime for each asset on site and making sure the completion of these tasks on time and in full to an acceptable standard- Ensure site level equipment, spare parts and minimum holding levels are correctly recorded in the system, to ensure a total cost of ownership be ascertained for each asset- Formal KPI’s are produced to show progress against the Maintenance improvement journey
3.Continious Improvement- Support and drive engineering improvements by identifying projects to improve onsite maintenance and asset reliability- Support root cause analysis into machinery failures to improve line uptime on site and feedback any improvements to the planned maintenance regimes that are in place
4. Maintenance planning- To produce a maintenance plan for a 12-month timeframe and issue a weekly maintenance plan for the maintenance teams.- Lead the Formal weekly engineering planning meeting- Issue weekly engineering plans to the wider engineering team ensuring all associated resource and spare parts in place to support completion- Review quality of data coming back as part of the work order completion process to make sure it is accurate and captures all work carried out prior to closing- Track weekly compliance against the issued fixed plan- Look for opportunities to improve the planning process to make it more efficient and add value- Issue weekly KPI’s to show ongoing performance and opportunities for improvement- Work closely with the site production team to make sure that the weekly plan is achievable, and any required downtime on the lines is captured as part of the weekly production plan- Capture any external contractor works as part of the weekly plan- Site contact for contract Coordinate contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standards
5. Stores- All stock items are listed on the CMMS system with supplier and price- Any stock item used is booked out through the CMMS and assigned to a work order and ultimately asset- All critical spares are identified and marked as being critical within the stores area- Reports are in place for stock holding and stock turnover as required- Regular stock checks are carried out to ensure the accuracy of the stock both physically and on the system & lead the engineering stock take process for your site
Experience- Experience working in an Engineering/Technical environment- Leadership- Organisational skills- Understanding of SAP CMMS and implementation of Planned Maintenance- Coaching skills- Health & Safety practices/compliance- Office 365 products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)- Team Player as well as the ability to work on own initiative- Process Improvements
