**Introduction to the role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a **Subcontract Ledger / Purchase Ledger Assistant** to join our existing Lincoln team working within the Lindum Accounts Team. The role will encompass all aspects of the subcontract ledger and purchase ledger function.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Review payment certificates to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Maintain accurate ledgers by recording and verifying invoices and payments
- Assisting with the preparation and distribution of subcontractor payment notices and supplier statements
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, accounting team, and divisional heads of department to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain necessary documentation such as insurance certificates and bank details
- Maintaining an awareness of VAT payment regulations
- Processing supplier invoices ensuring accurate coding, matching with purchase orders, and obtaining necessary approvals

- Experience of working with high volumes of invoices
- Flexible with a calm manner when dealing with subcontractors/suppliers

**Desirable criteria**
- Previous experience in a subcontract / purchase ledger role
- Knowledge of the construction industry payment processes
- Familiarity with various VAT regulations
