Successful execution will require partnership across all Global Markets businesses and will include In-Business Risk teams, First Line Risk and Controls teams across all risk categories and products, CAOs, Governance and Control, Markets Transformation teams. It will also involve interaction with Internal Audit.

This role is also a key member of a broader First Line Risk & Control function directly supporting Global Markets as one of the major businesses within the Institutional Clients Group. The Global Markets Risk Framework team is mandated to establish and maintain a robust risk management framework across the risk lifecycle of identify, measure, monitor, control and report for the First Line of Defence across all risk categories, aligned with the enterprise risk management framework

**Key Responsibilities**:
**First Line Risk Framework target operating model implementation**
- Priority focus will be on driving the adoption of enterprise risk management framework and enhanced risk management processes in the First Line across all risk categories and products
- Define execution approach for risk framework adoption and coordinate planning and execution through collaboration with key stakeholders
- Act as central point of contact and represent Markets at Enterprise/ICG forums discussing required changes to risk management policies and processes and perform necessary review and challenge of proposed approach
- Translate Enterprise led policy/process changes to Markets clearly outlining Markets impact and incremental uplift required and coordinate delivery of enhanced processes
- Coordinate documentation of Risk Framework principles and First line procedures where required
- Coordinate and drive UAT and business requirements for new technology solutions related to risk management processes
- Support the design and implementation of the enhanced framework to define and maintain Markets risk profile and Path to Risk Appetite
- Work with management and colleagues to promote a strong risk and control culture.
- Deliver on Regulatory risk remediation commitments and partner with ICG and Enterprise teams to ensure a complete understanding of milestones and deliverables
- Ability to review and consume huge volumes of information and inform view on global Markets impact from regulatory commitments and define path to target state in line with operating model
- Translate Enterprise/ICG requirements to Markets deliverables, disseminate information to Markets stakeholders and lead informational sessions
- Create documentation describing required outcomes and capabilities from each Program Group, as applicable to Global Markets
- Agree any specific actions required of the business, including facilitating Global Markets participation in the design and execution of each program’s defined scope, target state, and success criteria
- Lead Markets cross-product and cross-risk category working groups to drive and oversee delivery of target state processes and risk remediation milestones according to committed timelines, providing markets-wide consistency, and ensuring alignment with defined target operating model
- Partner with key stakeholders within First Line to agree required enhancements to processes to align with target operating model, and ensure consistency in approach - this also includes partnership with Second line independent risk functions and Enterprise risk management teams
- Escalate concerns and issues to senior leadership, independent risk management and management committees.
- Prepare regular information packs for key working groups and for senior management, governance forums and regulators to provide update on First line risk framework implementation and key progress, achievements, and areas of focus/concern.
- Develop and implement communication strategy to enhance understanding of enterprise risk framework across Global Markets and ensure impact to Global Markets is clearly understood across the business:

- Extensive experience in financial services and proven track record in delivery of risk-related remediation and transformation
