**Salary - £26,000 circa**

We have a unique opportunity in Erith for a Buyer to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working full time.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting the purchasing supervisor
- Place orders for a range of suppliers
- Processing of purchase orders
- Regularly review the existing supply base to build relationships or contribute to finding alternatives
- Work with the purchasing supervisor to ensure unit costs are negotiated within budget
- Supplier liaison and management
- Ensure continued supply of components to meet production schedules
- Monitor supplier deliveries and quality of materials
- Other duties as deemed reasonable

**Skills and Experience**
- Willingness to undertake training and continuing development
- Professional/courteous approach
- CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply, or have relevant business experience
- Experience working within a purchasing, buying, or supply chain department
- Good understanding of legal frameworks and contract law
- Able to understand customer & business needs, and prioritise work accordingly
- Understands supplier relationship management
- Good communication skills
- Good MSOffice skills
- Attention to detail
