Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant

We are looking for an attentive Laundry Assistant/Housekeeping Assistant to support the functions of our Residential Home.

As one of our Housekeeping/ Laundry Assistants you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all linen, clothing and the environment are well cared for and maintained.

**Responsibilities**:

- Washing laundry
- Drying laundry
- Ironing laundry
- Folding laundry
- Returning laundry to the appropriate resident or place
- Neatly storing laundry and maintaining organisation
- Ensure that the service remains clean and hygienic at all times
- Replacing bedding
- Cleaning rooms, hallways, communal areas, and bathrooms
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
- Replacing and replenishing
- Making beds
- Cleaning floors, mirrors, toilets, showers, and baths
- Wiping down appliances, counters, sinks, furniture and cabinet doors

Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Assistant/ Laundry Attendant or similar role
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent multi tasking and problem-solving skills
- Effective team working skills

This position requires an enhanced DBS check.

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour
