SSEN are currently looking for experienced HGV HIAB operators to join our Southern Electric Power Distribution team. Frontline staff are at the heart of our network, helping us to power change. This is an opportunity to develop an exciting career with the potential to gain additional qualifications and authorisations within SSE. The role will include:

- Working alongside SSE linespersons to carry out EHV, HV and LV overhead construction and maintenance whilst assisting fault response in the SEPD network area.
- Being responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues and acting as an ambassador for a strong safety culture in everything you do.
- This role can be demanding, and you'll be required to respond quickly to emergency situations; we want to provide the best possible service to our customers in their time of need. This will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions with the opportunity to undertake out of hours standby duties and short notice attendance for storm situations.

**What do I need?**:
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Previous experience working in a similar role and hold a current HGV Licence.
- Duties involved in this role can be physically demanding, and will involve working in all weather conditions, a can-do attitude and excellent team working skills are essential.
- An NRSWA Street works ticket, HIAB training and/or any experience of operating plant with relevant tickets/qualifications are not essential but would be advantageous.
- A high appreciation for safety in everything you do, and work with your teams to promote a strong safety culture.
