**Specific Responsibilities**: To promote and role model the vision, mission and values of the organisation. To assess patients experiencing common mental health problems and direct to the appropriate care pathway using the stepped care approach. To plan, deliver and evaluate interventions with individual patients and systematically record on the relevant databases. To use standardise tools in accordance with the service specification.

To have a sound theoretical and practical clinical knowledge of how to deliver Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy effectively in order to promote recovery. To provide clinical supervision to trainee and qualified PWPs on a regular basis in accordance with the relevant professional guideline and policies.

To maintain appropriate relationships with patients and staff in line with the service values and service specification. To comply with all mandatory training requirements. To take responsibility for the team working together to achieve agreed clinical activity. To ensure that information processed for both patients and staff is kept accurate, confidential, secure and in line with the Data Protection Act (1998) and Security and Confidentiality Policies.

To participate in setting and review of objectives for the post as well as the team and in activities of continuing professional development (CPD) on an annual basis. To champion Safeguarding within the organisation and take on additional training such as domestic violence, MCA Dols and Prevent provided by the organisation in order to fulfill this role. To participate in audits of clinical activity and evaluative research as required. To contribute to the management of team workloads in line with organisational requirements.

To coordinate and participate in the duty rota to support staff with vicarious trauma, the management of risk and assist with prompt dealing of safeguarding situations. To co-ordinate and assist manage staff work patterns, capacity management and student placements. To implement policies and procedures in own sphere of work. To resolve complex issues in potentially antagonistic circumstances.

For example, supporting colleagues who are dealing with contentious issues such as sexual abuse, receiving verbal abuse and threats of violence and other severe psychological traumas. Communicate clearly with patients, carers, colleagues and other health and social care agencies, in written communications, face-to-face contacts and telephone calls. To maintain, develop and share specialist skills and knowledge and to act as a point of contact for offering specialist advice. To support and develop sustainable partnerships with specialist mental health, social care and primary care providers in both the statutory and voluntary sector.

To support training in the recognition and management of common mental health problems. To contribute to the monitoring, review and audit of the work collating clinical data from patients on the caseload, within the overall framework of the required data output of the service with the intention of: (a) identifying and minimising risk, (b) optimising clinical effectiveness, (c) optimising service efficiency. Contribute to the clinical governance framework of the Service by identifying and acting on areas of concern and supporting the Operational Management Team. To promote the development of culturally appropriate and accessible services to disadvantaged groups, in particular minority ethnic communities.
