**Hours**:7am - 4:15pm Monday - Friday (Early finish on Friday)

**Comton Group are pleased to be recruiting for a Slitter Operator** **on behalf of our client 10 minutes outside Birmingham City Centre**

**Your main duties will be**:

- Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
- Handling steel including coil and sheet
- Loading and unloading vehicles for dispatch
- Banding up and packing processed steel

**Essential experience, skills and knowledge**:

- Experience cutting metal
- Forklift truck licence

**Desirable experience, skills and knowledge**:

- Overhead crane licence
- Counterbalance forklift truck licence
- Experience setting machine lines such as slitters, blanking lines, de-coilers, guillotines etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £26,000.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
