Tyneside Lasers are looking for a motivated **Laser Programmer / Sales Estimator **to join our dedicated team.

**Main Purpose and Scope of Role**

Programming of our Trumpf laser using proprietary Trumpf "Boost" software as well as other CAD duties. A knowledge of AutoCAD and other 3D packages would be advantageous.

Assisting with production planning based on existing work volumes, job schedules and customer requirements to ensure a high rate of customer on-time delivery is achieved.

The Estimator will be required to generate enquires and leads from new and existing customers. Manage customer enquiries, providing prompt quotations, and following up all enquiries, quotations and leads to their conclusion. Monitoring the progress of supply arrangements taking remedial action as required to ensure orders are progressed. Advising customers of any expected/unexpected changes to orders.

**Duties and Key Responsibilities**

Liaise closely with new and existing clients, maintaining good working relationships.

Process & Program customer orders and liaise with Production Management to schedule orders to suit customer requirements.

Purchase materials from multiple vendors ensuring best profit margins are achieved.

Produce 2D/3D CAD drawings for Laser/Waterjet cutting and Folding for the shop floor.

**Skills and Experience**

Engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, FdEng, BEng) are welcomed but not essential.

Proactive sales experience in Laser/Waterjet cutting and/or Fabrication industry.

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and the ability to read and breakdown complex engineering drawings.

Experience using sheet metal or Laser/Waterjet CAM software (Bysoft, FlowPath/Cut/Xpert or TruTops) would be advantageous but is not essential.

Presentable with an excellent telephone manner and able to quickly fit into a small but busy working environment.

Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure is essential as well as the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

Must be IT literate - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Excel highly desirable.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail required.

**General Responsibilities**

The above is generally typical of the role. You may be required, from time to time, to undertake additional duties as agreed with Senior Management within the scope of your abilities.

**Salary**

Negotiable; DOE

Immediate start available.

Basic working hours: Monday - Thursday (7.30am to 4.30pm)

Friday (7.30am to 1pm)

Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
