We are a BRCGS A* registered food grade site, which requires maintaining high standards at its factory sites, we now require an additional person to join our factory services team to support this need.

As Maintenance Operator you will already have a good all-round knowledge of simple building repair and maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating, building and minor electrical skills you will also need to be:

- A team player, who works well with others.

- Proactive with good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience working with third party trades and contractors.
- Health and safety conscious.
- A good record keeper.
- Willing to learn and take on new skills.

**The Role**:As Maintenance Operator you will play a key role within the building's operation, working alongside the production and Maintenance teams. You will directly report to the Production Manager. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness in buildings are maintained to an excellent standard and be responsible for carrying out specific maintenance or repair tasks and proactively making repairs and improvements as necessary.

This will include:

- General housekeeping, deep cleaning of equipment, machinery, and buildings.
- Monitoring and operation of the factory cooling systems.
- Monitoring and operation of the factory compressed air and dryer systems.
- Minor building repairs, brick/block work, preparing and painting walls etc.
- Assisting maintenance engineers or other personnel with repairs.
- Minor electrical works, changing light bulbs etc.
- Minor plumbing work, toilets, bathrooms and heating system.
- General minor works for example, putting up shelves, moving furniture etc.
- Production operator duties when cover may be required.

- Maintaining effective communication with work colleagues.
- At all times protecting yourself and adhering to Health & Safety rules.
- At all times following the rules and regulations as defined in the company handbook and as varied from time to time.

**Any other duties that can be reasonably required of the role and your capabilities.**

**Location**: North Walsham

**Hours**: 8 hours per day, 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, occasional overtime & weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.

**Starting pay rate**: Circa £24,000 dependent upon experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £24,000.00 per year
