We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to take the role as Park Ranger. This is a varied role giving good customer service and being an advocate of the outdoors. The perfect role for a Graduate in conservation and wildlife.

Main Duties
- Ensure the completion of designated patrol routes to stipulated frequencies, identifying and responding to problems as they occur.
- Identify and report repair and maintenance requirements, completing smaller or emergency repairs as necessary.
- Ensure the safety and security of Park and countryside areas property, including the care and maintenance of vehicles, buildings and other equipment.
- Carry out surveys on such matters as recreational usage, wildlife, flora and fauna, providing reports and statistics as required.
- Act as a point of contact for the general public.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for educational establishments, the general public and other interested groups liaising with education and other staff as required.
- Establish and maintain contact with individuals and groups with an interest in the countryside and provide advice relevant to the aims of the parks and countryside areas.
- Design and implement countryside interpretation promotions, including the preparation of leaflets and displays.
- Organise recreational activities, which are designed to promote understanding and appreciation of the countryside.
- Plan suitable work for, and undertake the training and supervision of voluntary groups e.g. Voluntary Rangers.
- Maintain an awareness of health and safety at work legislation as it affects the countryside and its users.
- Undertake outreach work and environmental educational activities to promote environmental awareness and understanding.
- Record bookings and account for monies received for the use of countryside parks facilities, in accordance with existing guidelines and procedures.

What we are looking for:

- An HNC in a relevant discipline such as land or recreation management with previous experience within the fields of conservation, environmental education, countryside management or as an Assistant or Seasonal Countryside Ranger.
- Supervision of volunteer groups or equivalent management experience is desirable.
- Drivers licence, some driving may be needed for this role
