Test & Validation Engineer
Join a world class team working at the forefront of print technology
£40,000 per annum, plus a car allowance based on 10% of the salary.
This is a hybrid role, which also requires extensive travel overseas (including India, USA and Europe), and one week per month in East Kent. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Ideally, you will be qualified at Degree level or similar, preferably in ascientific or engineering discipline, and you must have a full UK driving licence.
The role requires an experienced Engineer with in-depth knowledge of field-based technical support on R2R wide format inkjet equipment. You will be able to communicate technology issues clearly, be competent on Mac or PC, with good comprehension of the OSand Microsoft products - as well as being able to interact with equipment manufacturers at product design stage through to validation. Engineering know-how of WFIJ principles and systems would be seen favourably.
In this role you will need a flexible approach and will develop relationships with our client and its suppliers in order to achieve excellent product knowledge. You will deliver timely support professionally and in accordance with service level agreements,research new technologies to develop procedures and training materials to assist product training activity, and be involved in the installation team installing new machines. You will also complete validations on new equipment and ink ranges, respond to requestsfor print samples, investigate and report failure mode cause and effect, and support the department as needed in special projects.
