Forensic Courier

Topspeed Couriers Ltd, a specialist courier company, are seeking to employ courier drivers in the Heathrow and surrounding area to work on a contract that provides secure, event & time critical services to a leading company in the forensics and crime prevention industry.

In addition to having good driving skills, there is a particular requirement to be able to accurately complete chain-of-custody paperwork and work diligently to ensure the correct & timely collection and delivery of highly sensitive samples.

Topspeed operate, service and maintain a large fleet of Mercedes Benz vans and as a driver you would take ‘ownership’ for the company vehicle which would be kept at your home address.

The company manages its drivers and vehicles from its Operations and Maintenance Centre in Winsford, Cheshire using the comprehensive TomTom vehicle tracking, telematics and communication platform. Drivers are issued with company clothing and smart phones used for day-to-day contact.

Most of the work involves pre-planned, scheduled runs that can take place during days and nights. In addition, there will be a need to operate an occasional weekend rota system for ad-hoc work. Work rotas are normally distributed a week in advance, however there are some jobs that are allocated the day before or on the day.

This work demands high levels of accuracy and customer focus and we would be keen to talk to interested people who can demonstrate reliability and flexibility throughout their career. Due to the sensitivity of the work it is a requirement that all drivers are free of criminal convictions and are therefore capable of obtaining security clearance to SC level.

**Essential job requirements**
Successful applicants should be able to provide a CV or comprehensive work history and:

- have less than 6 penalty points on their licence and no disqualification in last 5 years
- have a good driving record without being the cause of serious traffic accidents in the last 5 years
- have good knowledge of the national road system
- be smart, presentable and courteous
- be free of criminal convictions and are therefore capable of obtaining security clearance to SC level
- be able to supply 2 references.

**Salary**: £11.47-£12.47 per hour

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- delivery driver: 1 year (preferred)
- driving: 2 years (preferred)

- Driving Licence (required)
