**About the Role**:
Our Fort William Supported Living services are looking for warm and friendly Part Time (15 or 30 hours) and Full Time (37 hours) Support to care for vulnerable people in their homes and in the community in order to help them live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

As a Support Practitioner you will be able to communicate effectively and adapt to unique ways to ensure the communication is understood while you get to know a person. You will take the time to develop and explain daily plans alongside the people we support, while building strong last relationships and trust. You will be required to manage daily living expenses and help support each individual to live independently while taking a person-centred approach. The role also requires keeping a record of daily support and health and safety checks to ensure a person’s health and well-being are maintained at all times.

Providing personal care is an essential part of the role and each person has individual needs which can include; administering medication and ensuring this is monitored, bathing, assistance using the bathroom, ensuring all safety measure are in place with regards to PPE and government guidelines, helping prepare meals and support to access restaurants and cafes should a person wish to use community facilities. You will also be responsible for carrying out household duties to ensure cleanliness is maintained.

The people we support enjoy all kinds of activities from long walks, day trips to local places of interest, steam trains, going out for lunch, going shopping, going on holiday. We are looking for people who will share their hobbies and actively support people to take part in their community and lead a full life. You will work with the supported person and their families and fellow team members to plan activities but you will have a lot of autonomy and will need to be able to work independently.

As a Support Practitioner every day is different and spending time with a person or getting to know them is an essential part of the role and if you have a true passion for helping people then this could be the perfect position for you Salary: up to £31,175 per annum (inclusive of 2 sleep in payments per week)
