**EL/PL Claims Handler**

We are currently recruiting for a EL/PL Claims Handler on behalf of our client, one of the leading brands in the UK insurance market.

Liaising with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, as well as customers and key brokers on a daily basis, you will be on the front line of the company's claims service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Full management of a portfolio of EL/PL Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice claims from first notification to conclusion.
- Setting the claim strategy and handling internally where possible.
- Selection, instruction and active management of external advisers and experts, including solicitors where appropriate.
- Liaising and negotiating with customers, brokers, claimants and their representatives.
- Demonstrating excellent file handling and claims management through pro-active portfolio management.
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of the Claims service by identifying areas of opportunity and helping to create solutions.

**Key Requirements**
- A qualified solicitor, legal executive, CII claims professional or Claims Handler with at least 3 years’ experience in handling EL/PL Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice claims.
- Policy coverage knowledge and experience across a broad range of policies and types of business.
- Strong understanding of litigation and the legal process.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
