Clerk to The Council

Up to 50 hours per month
- SC pt 14/15 £13.21 ph (pay review pending)
- 28 days annual leave (pro rata) and 8% non contributory pension

- health and wellbeing within our ward and support community development,
- social activities, and a number of events throughout the year.
- We are recruiting a Clerk to the Council who will also act as the Responsible
- Financial Officer, managing the council’s procedures, budgets, accounts, contracts,
- and financial reporting, ensuring that all legal, statutory and other provisions are met.- of local government practices.
- Ideally, we are looking for a dynamic person who is self-motivated and has:
- experience of clerking or administrative work or transferable skills
- experience of managing finance;
- the ability to professionally represent the Council;
- competent IT skills;
- a willingness to pursue training opportunities and achieve CiLCA qualification, which the

Council will fund;- some understanding of local government;
- Welsh language skills are desirable

The role will need to have availability during 1 morning or afternoon per week but further
- hours are flexibly worked across the month in line with Council needs and will involve
- evenings. We hold monthly Council meetings in person (except for August) and we have 3
- sub committees - HR, Maintenance and Wellbeing - some of these are held online.
