Junior Bid Writer

DFP Services Ltd are looking for a Junior Bid Writer to join our fast-growing team. As one of the fastest 50 growing companies in the North East for 2 years running, this is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Bid Writer to develop their skills with an exciting and growing company.

This role would be an excellent opportunity for a Graduate or someone with a passion for writing who is looking to develop a career in bid writing and content creation.

Please note that full training would be provided within this role. Our tried and tested training programme has a proven track record for success with all of our Junior Bid Writers being enrolled onto a Certified Foundation APMP qualification after 12 months.

As a Junior Bid Writer, you will support the Bid Team to source, collate and write high quality bids for the company. To professionally tailor the tenders to the requirements of each individual customer, you will be required to utilise market intelligence, liaise with internal key members of the Operational Team and gather evidence including system data.

You will be required to project manage each bid process from start to finish in a pressured deadline driven environment. Communication between yourself and the Operational Team will be imperative. All information is to be presented to the Operational Team allowing them to provide an informed pricing structure.

To best identify the requirements of our customers, you will be required to analyse complex tender documentation, report findings to the relevant personnel and translate this into easy-to-understand and high scoring quality responses. Quality bids will be expected to include the current company policies and procedures; therefore, you will have the ability to write case studies and method statements.

Presentation preparation and delivery will be a requirement of the role.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

- To report to the Bid Manager
- Write high quality and customer-focused responses to SSQ, PPQs and ITTs
- Clearly storyboard responses
- Participate in Kick Off Meetings
- Communicate with the Operations Department to obtain information
- To meet the Bid Plan and assigned responsibilities as set out by the Bid Manager
- Proofread documents before sending to Bid Manager for a quality review
- Manage the communication between the client and company throughout the bid process

- IT Literate
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Effective time management and ability to multi-task
- Capable of working in a high-pressure and deadline driven environment
- Creative with an eye for detail, especially when writing and proofreading
- Commitment to the role
