**Title of Post: Family Worker**

**Purpose of post: To work with the most vulnerable families in Arden, Carnwadric and Kennishead, to provide supportive family work through home visiting and group work (adults, children, and young people)**
- Communicate effectively both online and in person with children, families, and groups.
- Understand how and when to refer on for specialist support.
- Possess good knowledge of support agencies.
- Ability to organise, manage, support and record Adult and Children group work.
- Possess a flexible approach to duties and astute ability to assess client needs.
- Undertake and prepare documentation to support client delivery on a regular basis.
- Confident with lone working and good team player.
- Manage all reports online and timeously.
- Confident I.T Practitioner.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Any other duties that can reasonably be attached to the post.

**Job Specification**

Essential:
Excellent communication skills.

Previous experience of child and family support.

Good knowledge of support agencies.

Flexible and enthusiastic.

Non-Judgemental.

Can work independently.

Team player.

Effective I.T skills.

Good timekeeping.

Preferable:
Car Driver.

Some experience of Children/Adults with additional support needs (ASN) would be an asset.

This is a part time post of 14 to 16 hours per week flexible to the requirements of the project and arranged by the Team Lead. Days of work will be Monday to Wednesday and occasional evening sessions will be required on a rotational basis, finishing no later than 7pm.

The successful applicant will be based in Carnwadric Church, and a mobile phone, laptop and internet access is provided.

The Family Worker is supported by the Line Manager, appointed by the Management Group, for the project. The line-manager is the Team Leader.

The salary for this post is £24,710 per annum, pro rata. (This equates to £8,648.64 per annum for a 14-hour post)
