Dairy Supervisor

Our client, an independent family-owned company, which specialise in cheese manufacturing, is looking for Dairy Supervisor to join their team.

As a Dairy Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining highest standards of Hygiene throughout the Dairy whilst keeping and improving the quality of the cheese. Actively promoting staff awareness to hygiene, good behaviour, health and safety, operating procedures and rules and regulations as set out in the company handbook.

Previous or similar experience in food manufacturing is essential.

Duties to include but not limited to:

- To achieve the very highest standards of hygiene and quality in the Dairy.
- To participate in the development of ISO quality plans and HACCP quality system and ensure all records are maintained.
- To promote and follow the company's H&S policy.
- To be responsible for the correct operation of plant or equipment, informing the Production Manager or Engineer of any failings.
- To help motivate, train, discipline and enhance our current staff and agency staff.
- To promote staff awareness at all time to hygiene, H&s and other rules and regulations that appear in the company handbook.
- To utilise the laboratory swab results to maintain and improve hygiene.
- Control the use of chemicals - monitor to ensure not used excessively.
- Liaise with the Production Manager regarding cheese quality and assist in any production developments and implement new measures as necessary to improve consistency and quality.
- To always set example to staff.
- People - manage team to be most effective, report all accidents & near miss's.

You will be required to work a five-day week, a six-day week is available for potential higher earnings (this can be flexible ) but working must include a Saturday as standard.
