**We are looking for 2 Full time passionate Female Support Workers who want to support people and make a difference to People we supports lives.**

**If this is you, you may have the opportunity to work in an established service in North Leeds, LS17 supporting people to continue to lead positive and happy lives.**

**We support people to achieve their goals and aspirations, some examples of what has been achieved; becoming a volunteer, attend an employment course, travel training, working with animals, going to the gym, baking & cooking, going swimming, gardening, going to the shop alone for the first time, achieving steps to independence.**

**Getting people involved in every aspect of their support is key to a happy and fulfilled life, so you will need to be always encouraging and positive and person centred about promoting this, sometimes something as simple as encouraging someone opening their own curtains can make them feel good about their day.**

**Some of the people we support have mobility cars, so being a driver is definitely an asset. The house is near to local bus routes, getting to and from work should not be a problem.**

**This year people we support have been able to go on holiday, this has been down to the commitment and efforts of the fantastic team you may be joining.**

**What does a Support Worker do?**

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
- Support people to find activities they will enjoy, such as seeking volunteering opportunities or find paid work.
- Make sure people are included in every aspect of their daily lives, encouraging them to take ownership of their support, how their home is run.
- Bringing your skills and passions to work, so you can share them and encourage people we support to explore their dreams and aspirations.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
- Supporting people to live independently - budget management, paying bills, house work, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- Excellent communication skills/relationship building - supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- Community & Social Inclusion
- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.

We are currently looking for Support Worker (Drivers preferred) for one of established services in Leeds - Shifts and Hours to be discussed further at interview.
