We are looking to appoint a Cardiology Receptionist to support the day to day running of Cardio-Respiratory Diagnostics across Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

The post holder will provide receptionist duties to support the efficient running of the Cardiology Department within the Medical Division at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

They will be required to work in accordance with Trust and National standards, policies and procedures. The role will require the ability to work in an organised and efficient manner and the post holder must possess effective communication skills. The post holder needs to be able to provide an excellent service to both external and internal users of the service and to ensure that a complete, effective, and patient focused approach is maintained at all times with flexibility being an important component of the post.
- To be aware of the cardiology waiting times and ensure appointments are booked within the appropriate timescale.
- Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times, only releasing confidential information during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity and where appropriate.
- Maintain effective working relationships with all staff.
- Greet patients /visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- To answer the telephone in a timely and courteous manner when dealing with external or internal customers. To ensure that all messages are dealt with promptly to ensure that all demographic details are accurately recorded.
- Ability to use a VDU for extended periods of time and cope with noisy conditions.
- The operation of word processors/personal computers and the recording and reporting of data, maintaining good housekeeping and quality of output.
- Dealing with results and reports of investigation as necessary.
- Data collection and input of activity on EPR system.
- To ensure that you are flexible in your approach to working across both sites when appropriate
