**Role Description**

**Job Title **Head of Health and Social Care

**Salary **£30,000 - £38,000

**Reporting to **Senior Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Effectively manage the delivery of training, support and information advice and guidance activity to at least a grade 2 OfSTED standard in line with contractual profiles, milestones and profit and loss requirements
- Effectively manage local relationships with funding organisations, partners, stakeholders and subcontractors
- Effectively manage human and physical resources on a day to day basis
- Develop the business in line with the company strategic plan

**Job Details**

1. Effectively manage all aspects of ESFA and DWP contracts and subcontracts to ensure that contractual profiles, outputs and financial budgets are achieved

2. Effectively manage all aspects of provision to ensure that all funding body financial, contractual and audit requirements are achieved

3. Effectively manage human and physical resources to ensure that provision is delivered to at least grade 2 OfSTED standards, including observation of delivery

4. Effectively manage relationships to ensure the company’s reputation is upheld in all circumstances

5. Support and develop staff towards achieving continued professional development requirements

6. Performance manage all staff in line with service delivery requirements and Key Performance Indicators

7. Support senior managers to develop the business and achieve business growth targets in line with the Strategic Plan, including support with bid writing and partnerships

8. Produce Self Assessment Reports for the area of responsibility within the business to ensure a culture of continuous improvement

9. Complete monthly trading reports and attend monthly management meetings

10. Develop improvement plans to drive forward improvements in quality and performance

11. Manage relationships with awarding bodies to ensure centre and scheme approval is maintained

12. Deliver training, support and/or information, advice and guidance sessions to cover absent staff and holidays if required

13. Effectively engage with local employers to ensure contractual targets are met and business development opportunities are maximised, including the engagement of Levy employers

14. Ensure that policies with regards to Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection are adhered to

15. Maintain a positive and professional company image at all times

16. Support the company Quality Policy and Information Security priorities

17. Support the company’s equality of opportunity statement at all times

18. Work safely, supporting the company Health and Safety Policy

19. Perform any additional requests in line with the key responsibilities of this role

**Person Specification**

**Essential Skills**
- Minimum Level 5 teaching learning and assessment qualification, such as Cert Ed,

DTLLS or Diploma in Education and Training
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
- Level 2 IT Qualification, such as ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
- Full Driving Licence
- TAQA 3 and TAQA 4 or equivalent

**Desirable Skills**
- Level 5 management qualification
- First Aid at Work Certificate
- IOSH Health and Safety Qualification
- Level 4 or 5 Subject Specialist qualification in English or Mathematics
- Budgetary and profit and loss skills
- People management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Post Graduate professional qualification

**Essential Knowledge**
- Barriers to learning and employment
- How to support clients and promote independence
- Support strategies for various learner specific needs
- Management of ESFA and/or DWP contracts
