Bear Basics is a successful canine behaviour training business in the Wakefield area, who is looking to expand the business and bring on a dog walker.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide correct levels of stimulation for each dog you walk
- Provide basic pet care, including feeding and watering
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Have a good understanding of canine body language
- Provide excellent customer service to dog owners, addressing any questions or concerns
- A willingness to always learn more and better your knowledge
**Requirements**:
- Full UK (manual) driving license
- Suitable van/car (4x4, large estate vehicle). You'll be required to transport a maximum of 4 dogs at once and these will vary in size from medium to large dogs
- Previous experience in pet sitting or dog walking is preferred
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Physical fitness and a 'can' do attitude, even to tasks that may seem daunting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Be a team member, reliable, professional, friendly and flexible.
We currently need a walker for Mon, Tues, Wednesday but there is opportunity to go full time (5 days) if we find the right person for the job
Note: This job may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week
**Salary**: £11.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
