Our friendly salon offer a bespoke experience in a relaxed, professional environment.

We have an opportunity for a Hairdressing Apprentice to join our growing team.

As an apprentice, you will learn all aspects of hairdressing including:

- Shampooing
- Reception duties
- Cleaning to main a tidy and safe environment
- Mixing colours
- Basic cuts
- Greeting clients

Learning hairdressing as an Apprentice will also give you valuable knowledge of how a salon runs day-to-day.

**Working week**
- You will be working in the salon 5 days per week, including some weekends - days and shifts to be confirmed.

**Expected duration**
2 years

**Training to be provided**

Intermediate apprenticeship in Hairdressing, which includes:

- Level 2 Hairdressing
- Functional skills in English and maths (if required)
- Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

Training will take place in our training centre one day a week. There will be a mix of theory and practical lessons and you will be assessed in the training centre or in your salon.

As a Level 2 Hairdressing Apprentice, you will be learning the basics of hairdressing and of working within a salon.

The units you cover may include:

- Style and finish hair
- Set and dress hair
- Cut hair using basic techniques
- Colour and lighten hair
- Advise and consult with clients
- Shampoo, condition, and treat the hair and scalp
- Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
- Relax hair
- Perm and neutralise hair
- Plait and twist hair
- Temporarily attach hair to enhance a style
- Remove hair extensions
- Fulfil salon reception duties
- Cut men's hair using basic techniques

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From £5.28 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
