To provide routine and specialist orthoptic and visual field services as an autonomous practitioner within the hospital department and any other sites served by the department. This encompasses investigation and management including direct implementation of treatment over a range of conditions in many patient types/ages. To assist with clinical teaching of other multidisciplinary professional staff. To assist with clinical teaching and supervision of orthoptic pre-registration students.

To assist with clinical supervision of less experienced orthoptic staff.
