The role encompasses day-to-day running of the activities programme within the home, but also liaising with the bungalows residents to with regards to their own set of regular events, trips and get-togethers.

There are already regular village meetings, days at the seaside, shopping trips to Pocklington and to retail parks in York, meals out, and with much more planned once the care home opens at the end of March. We have two dedicated minibuses to take people out, but also offer regular drop-off and pick-ups to and from Pocklington and the local area.

Set in and with views of the rural countryside, yet only half a mile from the A1079 linking York and Hull, and only a five-minute drive to the busy and expanding market town of Pocklington, we really do have the best of both worlds With meticulously manicured gardens, thanks to our dedicated grounds and maintenance team, our village is a wonderful place to live and work. We believe that, particularly when the care home opens, it will be _the _destination for not only people looking for care and support, but also for those who choose to work here.

We are a family company, and as owners we have daily oversight of everything so we can be fully involved, providing support and guidance where needed. We believe the entertainment and activities provision at Lavender Fields is as important as the care itself, and truly wish to promote the idea of Lavender Fields as a living community.

The site is and will be the result of more a decade of hard work and determination, and we consider it to be unique within the local area, and beyond. Designed to be the last major care decision for people who choose to live here, those with a recognised care need (however small) have put their trust in us to provide that support through our home care services. When their needs grow beyond staying in their bungalow, they can move next door to our care home, complete with spacious bedrooms and en-suites, public spaces, gardens and wonderful, state-of-the-art facilities, safe in the knowledge that their partner is still close by.
