**An excellent **opportunity** has arisen to join one of the UK's **leading** providers of **pet** services. Based at Silvermere Haven in Cobham we are now looking to recruit a Keepsake Operative to join our experienced **crematorium** team.**
This role is 40 hours per week.
We pride ourselves on offering a service that we ourselves would want for our faithful friends, giving every care and attention to the small details that matter the most, be it a final paw print or other bespoke wishes and requests. We treat all of our pets with the same dignity and respect, as we help them to cross over the rainbow bridge.
We are looking for someone who can provide a respectful and thorough service to our client's much-loved pets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Treat the animals in our care with dignity and respect
- Work to a timely manner to ensure turnaround targets are met
- Carry out ink and clay impressions of an extremely high quality
- Take care to clean and present the paw impressions with no hair or dirt
- Keep Paw Print room and preparation area clean, tidy and organised
- Ensure all impressions are done as quickly as possible in date order to help ensure the target of a week turnaround
- Operate in a clean and tidy manner
- Ensure all keepsakes that are produced are of the highest quality
- Manage stock levels and place orders as and when required so as not to run out
- Train our colleagues to carry out high quality prints / impressions in your absence
- Ensure that the pets awaiting paw impressions is kept to a minimum
- Am I willing to do what ever it takes to ensure a client's wishes are met
- You will be handling deceased pets paws, could you do this?
- Some pets may have had a traumatic passing, could you handle this?
- There may be some lifting and handling of deceased pets, are you physically fit?
- You may need to help prepare a deceased pet for viewing by the owners. Are you comfortable with washing, dry shampooing, drying, brushing and combing the pet?
- Could you deal with a pet where nature has taken its course fast than normal?
