**Clinical Physiologist (Neurophysiology)**

**Salary**: £35,000-45,000 (depending on experience) + bonus scheme

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSTHOLDER**

You will be required to perform a range of advanced Healthcare Scientist clinical and technical activities, including working autonomously in the following areas relating to theatre monitoring;
- Perform IOM (intraoperative monitoring), EEGs (including inpatients) and NCS (nerve conduction studies
- Perform Spinal and Cranial intraoperative neuromonitoring
- Contribute towards training of clinical physiologists as the service develops
- Initiate and lead audit projects in relation to Neurophysiology
- Initiate and lead research projects in relation to Neurophysiology monitoring
- Provide information on technical aspects of theatre monitoring based on current literature, policy and guidance
- Participate in the training and education of junior physiologists as the service develops.
- Represent MediServices within Neurophysiology Bodies such as BSCN, ANS and NMUK ensuring the service keeps up to date with national standards, also acting as a MediServices representative on the national stage. Participation in national meetings, including presentations, research and audits will be expected
- Participate in quality assurance programmes alongside governance team ensuring whole Neurophysiology Service meets high standards of governance and patient safety.
- Work with the governance team to ensure MediServices achieves IQIPS accreditation
- Participate in policy development and implementation
- Work alongside our business development teams offering technical expertise when approaching new clients
- Assist in general office administration when required

This is a Nationwide role, where extensive travel will be required. You must have a full driving license and access to your own transport. You will also need a science related degree. Previous experience in a similar position or related field is essential.
