**Company Background**
Star Brands is a manufacturer of household cleaning and detergent products operating from sites in Leeds and Redditch, Star Brands produces retailer brand product and a number of its own and licensed brands, including the social media phenomena The Pink Stuff.
**Job Purpose**:
To be part of the production team and manufacture bulk product according to blend sheet quantities and mixing instructions
**Main Responsibilities**:
**Quality critical responsibilities**
- Manufacture bulk product according to job sheet quantities and mixing instructions recording inspection lot numbers for traceability
- Manage and maintain bulk mixing tanks and any other transfer containers using the CIP / pressure washer removing any residues of previous products or materials
- Accurately weigh and label raw material components
- To raise with the technical department any suspected non-conforming material or product
- To operate material stock rotation and raise with the technical department materials older than 2 years
- Detection and communication of non-conformance:
- Detection of deviation from specified product requirement
- Detection of contravention of the quality system
- Waste management
- Complete Blending Daily Check List, follow SOP and maintain 5S throughout the department
**Production**
- Stock checks as per warehouse sheet
- Attend daily production meetings updating vessel status
- Replenishment of chemicals for the deionised water units.
- Trained and available for Tanker to IBC offloading and Tanker to bulk storage tank off loading, should the need arise.
- Trained and available for offloading chemical deliveries within a safe environment using forklift truck.
**Safety**
- To adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standard
- To understand all the hazard warning symbols displayed on the raw materials and product and wear the appropriate PPE when dealing with these materials
- Ensure the requirements of the plant hygiene schedules are carried out and to clean material spills immediately
- Ensure visitors and personnel unfamiliar with the area comply with all the safety signage and wear the appropriate PPE
- Safe manual handling is fundamental to this position
**Full training will be given**

**Salary**: £12 - £13 per hour **DAYS**
**A shift** Week 1 - Mon - Weds 05.45am - 6 pm
Week 2 - Sun - Tues 05.45am - 6pm
**B shift** Week 1 - Weds - Fri 05.45am - 6pm
Week 2 - Thurs - Sat 05.45am - 6pm
**Salary**: £13.61 - £15.50 **NIGHTS set shift**
Sunday - Tuesday - 17.45pm - 06.00am
or
Wednesday - Friday - 17.45pm - 06.00am
