Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading Sheffield charity in the recruitment of a part-time Fundraiser, working 30 hours a week (4 days).

This is a great opportunity for a proactive, target driven individual, who will lead on the development of new products and materials and to guide family members, donors and third parties through their in memory donor journey.

The In Memory Fundraiser will develop and execute new and existing in memory campaigns that will engage with the target market of these income streams through various communication methods.

You will have an understanding of budgeting and financial management, along with a track record of achieving financial targets and excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

You will demonstrate an ability to be highly organised with good prioritisation skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and a positive professional attitude.

This role will involve travel across the Sheffield region including some out of hours where required and as such applicants will need a full UK driving license.

Key duties include:

- Research, identify and cultivate new relationships and develop cultivation plans for

growing the number of fundraising individuals and organisations involved in

fundraising
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and utilise resources to grow and maximise net

income across multiple income stream’s, developing business cases for new areas of

investment or opportunity, and improving and refining our existing programmes to

help deliver more
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of projects and relationships with the Community

Fundraiser and wider Fundraising Team by being involved in regular project meetings

as and when necessary and contribute creative ideas to maximise net income from

activities and other events
- Be the key point of contact for bereaved families and patients who are fundraising

and empower them to be aware of how they can support the charity

Third Party Fundraising
- Work with third party fundraisers who are organising their own events and ensure

they are given excellent stewardship throughout and income is maximised by

offering expert advice and support.
- Maintain compliance with all current and relevant legislation and provide guidance on

legal issues relating to fundraising to third party fundraisers as necessary. Ensure all

third parties are given the relevant information to ensure their fundraising is safe,

legal and compliant with the Fundraising Regulator.
- Convert one off fundraisers into repeat fundraisers and/or convert support into other

income streams with a detailed stewardship plan, maximising the life time value of a

supporter.
- Lead on the development of new products and materials to assist family members

and in memory fundraisers and donors. For instance, celebration giving to mark

special occasions.

Required skills:
Experience of working to and achieving sales targets

Understanding of financial forecasting and developing budgets

Strong presentation / public speaking skills

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
