Domiciliary Worker

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a **Domiciliary Worker **to join our team; you will support the service in maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will join us in **SOUTHPORT,** on a **permanent basis, working 18 hours a week over 4 days.** Timings of shifts can be flexible.

**New Start **is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, and young people.

**Key duties as our Domiciliary Worker** **will be to**:

- To establish and maintain to the highest standard a cleaning program throughout the premises including communal areas, office’s, void rooms.
- To maintain cleaning equipment and advise administration staff of any faults in equipment.
- To liaise with administration staff to ensure cleaning materials are ordered when required.
- To ensure that all cleaning is completed in a safe and hygienic manner and that the appropriate procedures are followed.

**What we’re looking for in our** **ideal** **Domiciliary Worker**:

- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a domestic role
- Previous experience of working in a team and building rapport
- Previous experience of working with, or an understanding of vulnerable individuals and the difficulties they may face
- An awareness of current Health & Safety at Work Legislation
- An understanding of COSSH
- Some flexibility in availability
- Experience of performing a domestic worker role in temporary accommodation would be beneficial
