**Salary**:£28,000 - £32,000 per annum

**Working Hours**:Monday - Friday 8.30 - 4.30 (37 hours per week)

**Role Responsibilities as a senior payroll officer**:

- Submitting Monthly Pension information to Pension funds
- Input of timesheets into the payroll system
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Liaise with HR and other departments around the university for timesheet and contract approvals
- Input starter and leaver information
- Input into the Parallel payroll system and reconciliation between both the old and new software.
- Some digital filing

**Skills and Attributes Required as a Senior payroll officer;**
- Experience working within a similar role
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- An understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
- A team player with a can-do attitude
- Organised and able to prioritise own workload
- An understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail to carry out tasks with a high level of accuracy
