We need an IS Technical Architect to help us shape the future, work on some of our most ambitious business programmes and projects and find innovative solutions to the challenges that face us over the coming months and years. You’ll be working in a small (butperfectly formed) team of IS Architects for Tom, Head of IS Architecture. He's a family man with terrible taste in both music and film (Mean Girls being a firm favourite). He comes from a commercial background and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience toHome Group. He is responsible for leading the team, and by his side... we think you'll move mountains

**Where you work**
Work is a thing you do, not a place you go, and we have invested heavily in our IT infrastructure to allow us to work in an agile way. You may choose to work largely remotely, although from time to time, you’ll be expected to join the rest of the team in theoffice in Newcastle for key meetings/workshops etc.

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take thetime off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours
**About you**
You lead by example and are comfortable working on a broad range of complex technical or professional activities, in a variety of contexts. Investigating, defining and resolving complex issues.
As a brilliant communicator you have a customer focused approach and recognise the department’s role as a service provider to the business. You ensure that a high quality service is underpinned by timely, appropriate and accurate communications.
Technically, it would be great if you had the right certificates, however we appreciate that you might have some great transferrable skills and the desire to work towards getting certified. Amongst some of the skills we are looking for are;
