Full Time role

Veritas Education are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching/Support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis within a secondary school in Rawtenstall. This position is to start with immediate affect on a full time basis Monday - Friday and will be on going throughoutthe school year, temporary until Christmas with a view to extend.

**The role**:

- Supporting the individual in and out the classroom in social activities and on outings.
- Have a firm but fair approach to the pupil and put structure in place to make sure the pupil is on task
- Supporting school work and preparing learning resources under the supervision of the teacher.
- Encouraging and supporting the routine that has been set in place for the individual.
- Encouraging the individual's confidence, self-esteem and independence.
- Helping the child understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating.
- Providing feedback and assistance to teachers.

**APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION**
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
- You must have legal right to work in the UK
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview
