**Pastoral Assistant - Coventry**

**Start date: As soon as possible**

**Location: Coventry**

**Days and Times: Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 15:30**

**Rates of pay: £80 daily**

**REED Education is currently working on collaboration with a Secondary School located in Coventry that is looking for a Pastoral Assistant to join as soon as possible.**

**The daily duties will include;**
- **To deal with issues in a positive manners, communicating actions to staff and parents as appropriate**:

- **To be proactive in supporting the school behaviour system by being a strong presence in corridors and lesson changeover, break times and end of the day**:

- **To liaise with tutors and external agencies**:

- **To train as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), log and pass on concerns as appropriate, dealing with sensitive and confidential issues**:

- **To attend meetings as and when required**:

- **To undertake meetings, induction and training as required by the School**

**To be successful for this role you must;**
- **Have experience of working in a similar role within a School setting**:

- **Be able to deal with sensitive matters**:

- **Have an thorough understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection laws**:

- **Have experience of dealing with sensitive matters**:

- **Be able to remain patient and calm in challenging situations**:

- **Be able to build effective relationships with Students, Staff members, Parents etc.**:

- **Have excellent behaviour management**:

- **Be able to work within a team but also be able to use personal initiative**:

- **Be friendly**:

- **Have excellent written and oral communication skills**:

- **Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to pay £38 for a new check to be done.**
